About the programme

As a social intrapreneur, you stimulate change from within your organisation. You develop impact-driven innovations that create value for both the organisation and society.

The challenge is getting people on board, building influence and dealing with persistent patterns and different interests within the organisation. At the same time, this asks for leadership: what role do you take, and how do you use your strengths effectively?

About the programme

Strengthen your leadership

Deepen your leadership, sharpen the skills you need and learn how to lead change in a way that fits you and your organisation.

Build influence from within

Understand your role and influence within the organisation and learn how to strengthen and use them in decision-making, collaboration and building support for your innovation.

Accelerate your impact

Map which developments and interests beyond your organisation influence the change and how you can respond to them.

Who is this programme for?

Primarily for ambitious social intrapreneurs who stimulate societal change from within their organisation, and for changemakers who work with organisations to accelerate change.

Who is this programme for?

Social intrapreneurs

You work in an organisation and are developing or leading an impact-driven innovation there. You want to become stronger in influencing decisions, handling resistance and bringing people along in your initiative.

Changemakers

You are an independent professional, consultant or advisor who supports organisations in societal or sustainable change. You want to act more effectively within complex organisations and bring different interests together.

What you develop

By the end of the programme you will have

01

Deepened your knowledge of transition, innovation and organisational change and applied it to your own practice.

02

Gained more insight into your position and influence within your organisation and the wider system.

03

Further developed your leadership and learned how to use it in a way that fits both you and the organisation’s goals.

04

Learned how to deal with different interests and conduct constructive conversations and negotiations with stakeholders within and beyond the organisation.

05

Gained more clarity about which strategic choices are needed to realise or scale your initiative.

06

Developed a deeper understanding of the dynamics and patterns that can accelerate or slow down organisational change.

07

Taken concrete steps towards realising or scaling the social impact you want to make.

What you’ll experience

Programme structure

The programme combines five learning modules, personal coaching and practical assignments directly connected to your own organisation.

Programme structure

The programme works from the inside out: from your role as a transition leader to the dynamics within your organisation and ultimately the wider system in which you want to realise change.

Person

Change starts with your own role as a social intrapreneur. What leadership does this change ask of you, which strengths do you already use well and what do you still need to become more effective?

Organisation

Then you look at your role within the organisation: your position and influence, the interests at play and the patterns that support or hinder change. You examine what is needed to bring people along and exercise influence on decisions about your initiative.

System

Finally, you zoom out to the wider system in which your organisation operates: the parties, interests and developments that influence the change and how you can respond to them.

Scaling societal impact

What is a social intrapreneur?

As a social intrapreneur, you take the initiative to create societal and sustainable change from within an existing organisation. This requires more than a good idea: you need to bring people along, build influence and deal with existing structures and different interests.

1. How do you increase your influence within an organisation in which you do not decide everything yourself?
2. How do you deal with resistance, persistent patterns and conflicting interests?
3. When should you innovate and when is it wiser to first strengthen what already exists? And how do you use your leadership to realise that change?
Scaling societal impact
For four months, you work together with other social intrapreneurs on recognisable challenges from your own organisation: resistance, conflicting interests, your influence and the question of how to make a good idea part of how the organisation works.
Masterclasses with academics and experts from government and business bring new knowledge and perspectives. In workshops, intervision and coaching, you apply this directly to situations from your own practice.
